When should I start using the Weaning feature?Updated 5 days ago

There is no rush!

Some parents have heard they need to wean before the baby “gets dependent on” the rocking and sound. But, weaning too early actually removes the valuable support SNOO offers to prevent later sleep problems, like the 3-4 month sleep regression, disrupted sleep from teething, etc. We recommend you not start weaning until your little one reaches 5 to 5 and a half months.

Please Note: Even if your baby’s toes touch the bottom of the bed, it’s still advised to wait until 5 months.)

Keep in mind, before you turn Weaning mode on, your little one should be sleeping peacefully with both arms unswaddled from the SNOO sack (click here for more details). This will also help smooth the transition from SNOO to crib.

The Happiest Baby App will notify you around 5 months to consider weaning and again a couple of weeks later. Be sure to input your baby’s correct birthdate in the App so we can notify you on time!
